Out now via Joy of Life International, 'milk teeth' is the touching debut single from Al Cologne. Ambling through a sequence of off-kilter arpeggios, 'milk teeth' is sonically delicate and unpretentious. With plenty of room for their tender vocals to shine, supportive bass and drums cradle Cologne's vulnerability as they recall a blossoming romance and the future ahead of them. Getting a little hot and heavy from the final verse, the reassuring reprise 'I knew from when we first met' carries the piece to a satisfying end. An accomplished debut if ever there was one, we'll be keeping an eye out for more from Al Cologne in the (hopefully) near future. -Holly Mullineaux
